Beginning
Dancing for over 20 years, Catherine Round trained on scholarship with Ballet Tennessee (Barry & Anna Van Cura) & Atlanta Ballet (Robert Barnett). She also trained under greats such as Marat Daukayev (Kirov), Birute Barodicaite (Chicago Ballet/Ruth Page) and Ricardo Bustamante (American Ballet Theatre). Catherine went on to dance with Ballet Omaha and later as a soloist with Los Angeles based Aeolian Ballet. She has also performed many roles as a freelance solo artist.
Catherine has been teaching ballet for over ten years, including seven years teaching and staging productions for the Marat Daukayev School of Ballet. She strives to instill discipline, technique, artistic vision, and the love of ballet for students of all ages.
